Join us for March Break Camp at The Workaround! A full-day of themed activities, arts and crafts and learning activities geared to preschool and kindergarten to grade three. Every day includes all snacks, full hot lunch and all materials.
New for March Break: 2 free spots are available for low-income and newcomer families who are unable to pay the full day fee. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know if you're in need of one of the two spots. We will draw a random name from all applicants and notify families 3 weeks prior to our camp.
Monday: Games Day and pop-up indoor playground
Tuesday: Mad Science PT 2: Build your own science lab; 3 new science experiments
Wednesday: Green Earth Day: Recycling and upcycled materials arts and crafts. Seed planting, indoor garden learning activities. Includes a special visit from our neighborhood fire chief :)
Thursday: Music Day: Special musical performance, surprise musical guests
Friday: Space Day. Exploring space, planets, and stars. Make your own star lamp/light and learn how to study an atlas.
The Workaround camps are intended for children aged three to eight years old. Our day’s schedule looks like this:
Morning: drop-off, free play, morning snack
Morning: walk to a nearby park (weather dependent)
Morning: first themed activity
Lunch: lunchtime chats and quiet break
Afternoon: energy run-off (physical activity) then the special guest presenter
Afternoon: hands-on craft or activity
Afternoon: free play and story time
Afternoon: snack and quiet time before pick-ups
Our school-break camps are planned and facilitated by our team’s Registered Early Childhood Educators. Art and creative activities are planned by our in-house Art Therapist and Community Manager Caitlin Bar, who manages group art therapeutic programs for children and adults. Camps are a drop-off program, parents are not required to stay onsite. Get tickets here!
