Our team at The Workaround is so thrilled to support CanWCC's advocacy agenda, especially in creating more accessible, flexible childcare options for working professionals who identify as women.
We are responding to CanWCC's advocacy agenda in a number of ways. Firstly, we support the fair wage of educators and live this value by paying our staff a living wage. Second, we firmly believe that government policy must do better to support childcare businesses with high-quality childcare services, and incentivize businesses that offer flexibility to parents. Our childcare is available on-demand, hourly, from $10-15/hour seven days a week. Finally, we know that by providing onsite childcare options for entrepreneurial and remote working parents, we allow women, who are often the lower income earners in a heterosexual household, to return to the workforce sooner and continue to grow their career. We strongly support pay equity initiatives by CanWCC. We couldn't say it better: “Pay equity represents a litmus test of the economic value society assigns to women relative to their male peers.”
We want to do our part to support working parents and are honoured to partner with CanWCC, whose members are now eligible for 20% off a monthly membership at The Workaround. Workaround members who identify as women are also now eligible for 20% off a CanWCC annual membership, an exciting opportunity to network and support their flourishing careers.
